Recently, my famous Cooler Master MM720 mouse began experiencing double-click problems with the right button. After cleaning and using WD40, the issue remains unresolved. Now I’m thinking about replacing it, but this decision is tough. I prefer a compact design with a gentle curve, similar to the MM720. My previous model was a Corsair M65, which worked okay but had some drawbacks—being too long, side buttons positioned awkwardly, and a bit heavy. I could purchase another MM720, but given how outdated the tech is and its price, I’m leaning toward something newer. Would you have any suggestions? I’ve looked into the G-Wolves Fenrir, though I’m not interested in international shipping outside the USA. I also want to avoid rubbery finishes and am open to wireless options, though I’m not excluding wired ones.

Since selecting a mouse is a personal decision, select the one you prefer most.
You can begin your research at the following link:

Rtings also conducts thorough ergonomics testing on all the mice they evaluate.

Currently, I’m using the Corsair Nightsword RGB and am satisfied with it. The issue lies in the middle button (under the scroll wheel) which fails after prolonged use, typically within about a year. Scrolling up or down works without problems. (I usually rely on the middle button to open/close browser tabs.) I’m already using another model because the previous two had similar problems. For my requirements, this mouse is excellent.

Prior to Nightsword, I used the Corsair Sabre RGB, which suffered from double and triple clicks of the left mouse button. All three Sabre models we owned experienced this frustrating problem within a year or so.

The MM720 remains a solid choice for a wired mouse. The issue lies in many mice now featuring a rubber coating, such as the Viper series from Razer. These seem to be the smallest models from their main lines, but they are matte rather than rubberized.
