To resolve a keyboard issue where letters keep repeating, try resetting the device or checking for software glitches. If the problem persists, restarting the keyboard or consulting manufacturer support may help.

Is there any spillage on the keyboard and is there any further damage? What occurred immediately prior to this issue?

The keyboard issue is often due to sticky keys or faulty switches. A temporary solution in Windows involves adjusting the repeat rate in the Control Panel under Keyboard options.

I was operating an HP laptop
I employ an external keyboard
I have tested three different external keyboards but the issue persists

Remove the laptop's built-in keyboard
I haven't used the internal keyboard since I took it out some time ago.
For the past two years, I've relied on an external one, but recently I encountered an issue with repeating letters.
