Is there a concern about the Rare Warm Boot issue?
I’m experiencing a very uncommon situation where my PC starts up on a blank screen. The boot light remains green and nothing appears. This issue occurred recently in early January 2025 and has only reappeared recently, on May 28, 2025. There have been no other problems while it’s running. When I press the power button, everything works normally. It seems to happen occasionally, but how often does this occur? Should I be concerned about its rarity?
Thanks
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? You forgot to mention the make and model of the boot drive on your system. How are you cooling the processor?
Thank you for the friendly greeting and prompt reply.
My boot drive is a Samsung SSD 870 EVO 4TB.
BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 3067, 10/12/2024
The processor is cooled by a NZXT Kraken AIO
perhaps the storage is too warm? not detected?
asus LED codes:
green = boot= storage problem
white = VGA
orange/yellow = RAM
red = cpu
consider using a tool such as crystaldiskinfo.exe to examine the drive's smart data, verify firmware versions and updates, and assess drive health.
