Consider a fresh setup of Windows 10 since the graphics drivers were recently updated and caused some issues. I’m curious if the “Reset this PC, keep my files” option will wipe certain parts of my programs, such as my VSTS for Ableton (DAW). Which components might be affected? Will resetting also clear all drivers so I can install them from scratch?

It retains all data except the Windows operating system, saving files in the existing directory structure with a name of: windows.old

These files in your personal documents refer to installed apps. Resetting them shouldn’t corrupt them unless there’s an issue with the installation process itself.

You're asking about files linked to apps. If you mean file types matching software, it should reset after installing compatible programs. Try opening the file type with the right app first. Don't just reset things yet—this issue might repeat. A GPU driver problem is likely to recur if it's the real cause of slowness. Avoid reinstalling or resetting unless you've explored other solutions first.

Consider trying a different setup or configuration to see if it resolves the compatibility issues.

That's the version I used! Most of my time was spent fixing Rust issues, though I mostly reset Windows.

If the only problem is this one, reinstalling probably won<|pad|> a thing won't help. It could be the game itself or possibly the driver.
