I connected my CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS to 1500VA/1000W and plugged my PC into one of the backup battery/surge outlets. The display indicates it’s switching to battery mode. As I navigated through the menu, the battery runtime decreased while capacity stayed constant. When the PC powered on, the runtime dropped to around 40-50 minutes. This suggests the system is indeed operating in battery mode, not AC/Utilities mode.
it comes out to roughly 12.29A when you divide 1500 by 122, meaning with losses it’s a lucky 10A. if you’re lucky, your PC could shut down in about five minutes under that load. it’s not a big power supply like a jackery, so this might not be what you expected. if not manual.
It seems the device automatically switches to battery mode when needed, displaying capacity and runtime. You can run the PC normally, but it will transition to battery when power runs low.
Turn off your PC from the power supply unit. Connect a desk fan or lamp to the PSU, then disconnect the PSU from the wall. Check if the lamp remains on. After confirming, reconnect the PSU.
Without being a specialist, I’m going to state clearly that "battery capacity" indicates the amount of charge left in the battery. Yours is currently at full capacity, though it might drop as time passes and the battery gets older. The "current load" would reflect how much power is being used when the system isn’t running on the UPC. Typically, an alarm will alert you if it’s operating off-board.
I kept the PC running and began playing games; everything worked fine. It doesn’t seem to drain the battery. I was a bit puzzled at first. Appreciate the assistance!
