I found it around $280 on Amazon, but I’m using a 120mm AIO and had concerns about the cooling system.
Lately new systems lack plenty of space for tuning, so it's better to purchase quality rams such as Tridentz Neo or Viper Steel and focus on getting the best results.
The 9900K isn't significantly more challenging to cool compared to the 9700K. Both models feature eight cores. The 9900K starts slightly higher and includes HyperThreading. If you anticipate upgrading your cooling later, consider getting the 9900K and disabling HyperThreading. A price of $280 is reasonable for an 8-core/16-thread processor. Around $260 for an 8-core/8-thread chip seems a bit overpriced.
At this price point, purchasing the 9900K makes perfect sense. It remains an excellent choice for gaming today. It functions similarly to a 10700K and is likely to retain its worth significantly longer than other i7 models since it represents the cutting-edge CPU for that line of cards. Those planning upgrades for Z370 or Z390 in the near future should target the 9900K—it's the top-performing chip any 300-series board can utilize.
