Have you considered upgrading the thermal paste for the cooler to a higher quality option? To give you the best advice, could you share the make and model of your case along with the current room temperature? It might help to review this guide:

You own an R7 4700S with a defective CPU. All R7 4700S CPUs are known to be faulty. Additionally, the system fails to display correct CPU frequency and temperature data.

The case is a Montech Air 1000 Lite, and the room temperature is around 25°C. The thermal paste hasn’t been changed in three years. I’m wondering if the heatsinks are still removable? Why would someone think they can be taken out if the heatsink is already installed?

It is secured using four screws. Remove the screws and remove the cooler.

How much experience do you have with thermal paste? If you're working on less than 10 systems, use regular thermal paste. For more than 100 systems, liquid metal might be an option. Keep in mind that using liquid metal and letting it spill over the CPU, onto the MoBo PCB, or applying too much so it leaks between the heatsink and CPU IHS can cause a short circuit on the MoBo. If this occurs, you'll have a significant problem because the CPU is soldered to the MoBo.

I have everything I need right now, so I'll wait to respond later. It will perform as expected.
