The issue is that my CPU stays under 30W and my GPU under 240W, even after playing a lot and monitoring closely over the past year. I usually play at 60fps without going into ultra settings. Knowing my GPU is an RX6800XT, I think a 850W power supply is necessary due to the spikes. However, reviews for the RM850X from 2021 suggest that the PSU fans only start working above 400W. Since I rarely use that much power, should I opt for a PSU with fans running even when not in heavy use? Just to ensure proper airflow and stability? Because I don’t have any additional fans installed. I simply remove one side of the case during gaming, which works perfectly for me.

Typically a PSU isn't included in the airflow path since it's positioned with the fan directed downward toward the PSU intake grill at the bottom of the case. Only purchase an ATX3.x PSU today if you require 850w.

The design will focus on temperature management, not just power consumption.
Cooling units are affordable and require minimal airflow for quiet operation and effective cooling.
You're right about the benefits of a bigger power supply unit, especially if you want extended silent operation; you can upgrade to Platinum and Titanium rated units.

A solid 750w is sufficient for a 6800xt, though opting for a higher quality 850w offers extra margin. This PSU is a bit expensive, but it would be a wise purchase if I were buying now. It comes with a 10-year warranty and is currently a great deal.

And the 750 watt works as long as it is of good quality, similar to what I have in my signature with the 5900x
