Your system displays a lower RAM speed than expected because the 2x8GB DDR4 modules are running at 3000MHz, which is below their intended speed. This can happen if the motherboard or BIOS settings don’t match the actual module speeds. Check your BIOS for any speed mismatches or updates, and ensure your RAM is properly seated and recognized.

You're checking the speed information displayed in Windows. Edit: If you meant a different source, let me know. What details are visible there?

Do you have the complete details? If your board only works with a specific frequency and your CPU memory controller also matches that speed, you might not have uploaded anything at all—even if you turned on XMP. This could lead the PC to start with very relaxed timing and low speed just to keep things stable.

Activate XMP or A-XMP settings. Or, adjust your RAM speed manually and apply 1.35 volts to the DIMM.

Board works with up to 3200mhz what processor? I own the same board on a R7 1700 @ 3200mhz RAM but it kept crashing—once a week or more. The CPU memory controller is crucial next; if it's Generation 1, stable performance above 2666mhz with XMP is unlikely, especially if you tried setting it and ended up at 2133mhz (DDR means double data rate, so 1064x2).

I don't see any XMP information. The chip is configured for 3000MHz but reports a different frequency of 2133MHz.
