is the price worth it?
this new pc meets all the requirements i have for the games i enjoy, so i was curious about its value. would it be worth spending more or could i find a similar prebuilt model at a lower cost? i understand it's cheaper to assemble myself, but i'm not confident in doing that, so i won't suggest alternatives other than a ready-made option. it's a dell g5 gaming desktop available on dell's site for $930, currently discounted 17% to $772. is this price reasonable given what i receive?

16 GB 3200 "2X8" Since it's more affordable now than 2400 or 2600mhz 🤷♂️
256GB M2 + 1 TB Spinner
Affordable case and PSU
~ $415
The problem arises when adding a GPU
~$300 for a 1050 TI
~$400 for a RX 570
~ $650+ 1660 Super
I notice prebuilt units using 9400F and 1660TI models costing $800-$1000, making $772 a solid starting point. 16GB of RAM is reasonably priced at about $67.
Make sure to allocate a compatible RAM package when planning your replacement. I wouldn’t hire Dell for this job since they tend to overcharge and often fail to meet the expectations shared by reviewers. The motherboard on that unit is probably secured, so focus more on cost and dimensions rather than speed.
