Here’s what I have set up:
Mainboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: Two kits of 2x8GB = 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)
GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX
The issue began when my PC started failing after about 10 minutes of use. The timing varied each time, and I encountered a BSOD with the message "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA." After replacing the RAM to see if it would cause more crashes, the problem persisted. Even when reinstalling the same RAM modules from a 16GB kit, the system wouldn’t boot. Only one 8GB stick worked in a few slots.
I tried several fixes:
- Fresh Windows installation
- CPU swap
- Swapping out the graphics card to an older RTX 2070 Super
- Installing a new cooler
- Updating BIOS to the latest stable version (failed to boot)
- Resetting BIOS settings (CMOS switch and battery removal)
- Performing memory tests – it still worked before
- Testing each RAM stick individually to check for faults (it didn’t seem to be the issue)
- Swapping the mainboard with a compatible Gigabyte unit, but it still crashed
I’m really stuck and would appreciate any advice.
