Your connection has been unstable over the past few hours while you ran many applications and games. I initially suspected a DDoS attack, but after restarting your PC, I saw a BIOS warning about overheating. Could an overheating CPU really lead to network problems? Note: Your setup includes an i7 12700K, open-air case, and Noctua NH-L9i-17xx.

An overheating CPU can lead to various problems. It’s likely you’ll need to address the issue before anything else. How are the temperatures during idle and when under load?

It’s unlikely to suggest an L9i for a 12700K. This chip can run hot and may strain a standard cooler. Better options like a U9s or higher are recommended.

Temperature was hitting 65-70°C even when off. Planned to purchase a fresh cooler to resolve the problem.

I placed an order for an NH- C14s to resolve the overheating issue. I’m hoping this will address the network problem.

Are you facing any restrictions on the size of your downwind cooler due to its low profile?

Actually, I didn’t go with that option. I chose the cooler for now because it was a quick fix until I could afford a custom loop. Once I had the funds, I thought it would look great and I decided to keep it.
