Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out why my overclock isn't working as expected. I set the core clock to 1210 MHz and memory clock to 1370 MHz in Afterburner, but when I apply the settings, the core stays at around 300 MHz and the memory clock at about 150 MHz. Is this due to an issue with the overclock or is it a power-saving feature?

Are you verifying the clock speed using GPU-z or afterburner? Additionally, if your system is idle (not running games), your GPU will lower its clocks to 250-300mhz until you increase the load. Install GPU-z and check the reported clock rate. Also review this information while gaming.

■ What version of AB are you using? The default settings suggest adjusting the power target, and the best approach is to determine the power capacity your 260X can support, then maximize fan speed before making changes.
■ On 1.3 GHz frequencies, some R7 260X models don’t follow the AB preset because of VRM and motherboard capacitor constraints.
