I've been using my Logitech (with Options +) M720 on my MS Surface 6 with the Logitech USB dongle connected for some time without issues. Recently, though, the mouse stopped working—battery check passed, but it wouldn't turn On and no cursor appeared when the computer started. I looked into this problem, couldn't locate a clear explanation, but discovered a temporary fix. I had to remove the battery and dongle for about five seconds, replace the battery, reinstall the dongle, and everything functioned again. Since the mouse worked intermittently, I'd really appreciate a lasting solution. Thanks.

When you perform a click, does the mouse cursor return to its previous position?

Since posting, this event has occurred a few times, requiring that I go through the above sequence to restore functionality. The cursor only appears after the fix...otherwise, no cursor from the mouse. However, the cursor will work via the touch pad.

Have you tested the dongle using a different USB port, such as a direct connection rather than through a hub?

The only USB port on the Surface is for the dongle.

Recent Windows 11 updates for a MS Surface 6. Earlier, I encountered similar problems, but recently using this setup, the mouse remained active without any intervention needed.
