Depends on the price and where you're buying.
From what I know, it's likely a good deal considering the features you get. This has been the Nitro's top choice for quite some time.
Downside - it seems designed for a certain budget.
An 11th Gen i7 with 3050 (not TI), 16GB and a 1080p/144Hz display... shouldn't cost more than around $700 USD or roughly the local price, unless I'm wrong.
Even more importantly, I'm pretty sure you could get something better than what's built in. Even if that meant buying an open-box version (with full warranty).

I haven't enjoyed laptops much because the makers have stopped delivering strong performance during long battery use.
I question whether you'll get a satisfying experience with an 8-hour battery at maximum output if the power rating is 180W.
Tell me when someone builds a gaming laptop that can run on its battery for over a week without breaking the bank!

I don't think there's any "neglect" involved... there's nothing that can be done, with the components they have to work with. Advertising is a whole other issue, but they can hardly advertise "40 mins battery life at 100% load" when their competitors do otherwise... that's just business.
You've never been able to get 'full performance' from a laptop on battery for anywhere close to it's rated lifespan, this isn't new. Batteries can only be so big.

It appears that laptop makers should focus on enhancing the batteries they plan to use, considering the potential sales increase if the audience extended beyond those who can't sit at a desk.

There is no significant connection to improving the batteries.
The legal limit for battery capacity on planes remains relatively fixed.
I don’t remember the exact figure, but most laptops fall within that range.
Some more affordable models may have slightly reduced capacity.
Laptop makers typically target users who need mobility, such as those who travel often by air.

Besides the limited GPU performance and the nickname "Gamin lapper", there aren't any major issues.
If the cost is reasonable and you're mainly playing older titles, it might be fine.
I'd rather invest another $100-200 for a 3070 or 3080, though that's just my opinion 😊

What do you think about this ASUS model compared to the Acer Nitro? Both are priced similarly, so I'm considering buying either one. I'm still unsure which will be the better option.

It seems like a solid product, but if you really need a laptop rather than a desktop, it's not a bad option given its specifications. The price is hard to judge since I can't determine the currency or have seen it before, so I'm unsure if the internal hardware justifies the cost.

It's around 1282$
I already own a PC, but I need a laptop so I can use it outside my house.
Are Asus and Acer the same price?
