Is the laptop CPU slowing down while using battery power?
Has anyone else faced this problem with the ASUS TUF F17 laptop? When connected to a power source, it functions smoothly and runs quickly, but on battery power, the CPU performance drops significantly, making even opening File Explorer difficult. I've tested all available Windows and Armoury Crate power settings, yet nothing has resolved the issue. The device becomes nearly unusable in battery mode. It restarts to full functionality when plugged back in. The BIOS and drivers are all current. (i5 11400H, 64 GB RAM, RTX 2050 4GB.) Thank you for your assistance!
Yes, it is possible to improve your laptop's performance in battery mode.
Windows typically relies on built-in graphics and reduces the multiplier during battery use. If battery life isn't critical, adjust these preferences. Choose a discrete GPU for gaming and set performance to maximum.
Check the available bios updates to determine their relevance.
It's possible the battery may be faulty, limiting its ability to provide adequate power.
I'm running the most recent BIOS driver. [Version 312, 11/12/2024] No applicable BIOS settings were found.
