Is the i5-7200U able to handle Windows 11?
It appears this CPU has gained quite some traction because both you and the original poster have been using machines with it. I used a gray Acer, equipped with the GeForce 940MX and an i5-7200U processor. My hard drive was replaced with a Samsung 850 Pro 1 TB SSD, resulting in a very solid machine. Unfortunately, it eventually stopped working. I’ve also switched to another Acer model featuring the GeForce MX130 and an i3-8130U. I moved the 850 Pro 1 TB SSD there, but the i3-8130U performs similarly to the i5-7200U; however, it’s listed under Win11 CPU Support, whereas the i5-7200U isn’t. The i3-8130U is still operational.
Yes, I upgraded my Lenovo E580 (i5 7200u) to Windows 11 but encountered some issues. The keyboard and speaker stopped working. After removing the keyboard drivers via Device Manager and restarting, the keyboard functioned again, though the speaker remained unresponsive. My older notebook (Dell Precision M6700 Workstation) seems unsuitable for a Windows 11 upgrade; Solaris UNIX might be a better option.
An alternative term, maybe —

I resolved this by restarting the laptop. While the "lenovo" logo was visible, I pressed the mute button (F1) and the light went out. It seemed Windows wasn't sending the key to the hdwr. Once Windows restarted, the sound worked again. -- Bro Dan / same page as the linked article.
This method is a definitive solution or essential to perform quickly when powering on the laptop.
