I just got a new PC and wanted to try overclocking the GPU. Since I wasn’t very familiar with overclocking, I looked up some online guides. At first, I managed to get it running smoothly, but when I reached an OC level that felt acceptable, I ran a stress test using MSI Kombustor 3. I did the test before going to sleep, and the next morning the software closed automatically. The PC was still just sitting in my desk. I didn’t suspect anything was wrong, so I turned it off and put it back properly. When I reopened it, artifacts appeared everywhere on the desktop screen. I adjusted all the overclocks again, but nothing changed. Eventually, I decided to open the PC and remove the GPU to inspect it closely. After putting it back in, the artifacts disappeared and everything worked fine. I’m wondering if my GPU is still okay and whether I could try overclocking it at lower rates now.

It seems fine, just play a game first to see how it performs before attempting any overclocking.

It seems fine, just play some games first to see how it performs. Do you know the ideal OC for this card?

Not sure, I just built my own CPU and RAM but haven't gotten to the GPU yet.
