Is the Dell g15 5510 i510th gen RX 3050 suitable for gaming?
I found this gaming laptop recently. Since I’m going away from college and need a reliable machine to use games on, I thought it could be a good fit. However, I have some concerns. First, will its gaming performance still be solid? Second, are there any known defects? Lastly, can the RAM be upgraded easily so I can add another 8GB if needed? Thank you in advance.
It's one of those machines built to replace older CPU stock, so if you're looking for something improved, it would be a good option. The laptop has two SODIMM slots, but the listing doesn't specify whether it currently has 2x 4GB or 1x 8GB. You might need to purchase 2x 8GB to upgrade to 16GB.
If you could afford the additional cost, this would be a better choice:

I am new to Dell "G" series laptops. I have received top service from their premium models like the XPS, Latitude, and Precision. The Inspiron offers a solid balance of value and performance. The Vostro IMO should be avoided.
This isn't directly relevant for your situation, but it's worth noting that these devices often use soldered components which restrict upgrades or severely limit them. This trend is increasingly common in models under 15 inches and can vary significantly.
