Is the Corsair K100 RGB keyboard functional when it comes out of the package?
Hi, I recently received one, but when I connect it to the USB ports of my computer, the keyboard remains inactive and none of the keys respond, as if it were dead. I attempted to install ICUE software and searched for drivers but found nothing. Should I download any specific drivers or press certain keys? Or should I assume the keyboard is non-functional and return it, considering it’s under warranty? It seems these more expensive keyboards might require additional steps. Please note: connect only the keyboard to a USB 3.0 port, or it won’t work!
It should function correctly out of the box. Seems to be faulty.
I fixed the problem, but you need to connect the keyboard cable into a USB 3.0 port, or else it won't work. My motherboard only has two ports, so I was using the wrong ones. I discovered this after reading the manual out of boredom. Why would a keyboard need 3.0 bandwidth??? I had no idea, it was strange.
