Is the Corsair HX1000i (Type 3 cables) suitable for an RTX 5080?
Apologies for any confusion, but it seems the PSU needs to be checked for compatibility with Corsair's type 3 connector. This warning comes from PC build checks: the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC Edition needs a 16-pin 12VHPWR power adapter to connect three PCIe 6+2 pin power connectors from the PSU. It's best to avoid using the same split PCIe cable and instead use separate cables.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! For clarity, which HX1000i model are you referring to? The one with the blue HX or the white HX1000i on a black background? What is its age and what functions did it perform during its operation?

That's a unit from ten years ago.

The main variation is in the 24-pin connector layout.

You should still be able to use this harness.

or this one:

This should work alongside your PCIe connectors at the PSU side.
Just a note, your card should include a harness or adapter to convert your existing PCIe setup to 12V-2x6.
It is the blue one. 2080 Ti before this. I believe I installed it around 2018.
I was checking the cable choices from Corsair, all the current cables are type 3, and I'm uncertain if they can be directly connected to the adapter that comes with the card.
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I own the hxi1000 blue label. The Corsair Type 3 direct connector works perfectly with my 5070/4070 cards, no problems at all.
