Hello, I recently purchased a Gigabyte Aorus 16X 9SG Laptop. Two days ago, I replaced the SSD and RAM modules, but I noticed black foils on the two middle screws. The laptop is functioning perfectly now. I’m satisfied except for the charging issue, which only became apparent late on. During charging, it gets stuck at 86%. In the BIOS, I changed from "test" to "production" based on other threads, but it didn’t resolve the problem. After that, I reinstalled the battery status drivers in Windows 11, which improved it slightly from 86% to 87%. I have the GCC control center set to full charge. I’m unsure if there’s anything else I should try. It seems like a battery defect isn’t the case to me. In Windows 11, at 87% it indicates some battery protection is active. Is that protection still enabled elsewhere? I couldn’t find FlexiCharger in the BIOS. I’m seeking advice from more experienced users. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Once the laptop is turned off, detach it from the power source, take apart the device, remove the internal battery, apply pressure to the power button for 30 seconds to clear any remaining charge. Next, undo the disassembly steps and observe whether the battery charges or discharges properly.

Thank you for the guidance. I'll attempt a similar approach tonight. I've also drafted a script to record the charging and calibration steps. The Battery Report indicates a design capacity of 99 Wh, yet after a full charge reaching 89%, it only reaches 71 Wh, and at that stage it's around 66 Wh. I'm curious if a buffer would be necessary. 😊
