Is the Asus TUF A15 series causing issues?
Two years ago, I chose to purchase an Asus TUF A15 with the GTX 1650 and Ryzen 5 4600H. Over time, I started encountering issues. The device would stutter even when idle. At first, I thought it might be an electrical fault, since the problems usually began after plugging it in. They would happen a few times a day for about a second before resuming normal operation. This isn’t a RAM issue—it has dual-channel 16GB DDR4 memory.
A month ago, I bought another A15 model, this one featuring an RTX 2050 and paired with a Ryzen 5 7535HS. The same problem reappeared, suggesting it might be a recurring issue with the A15 series or perhaps a coincidence of receiving damaged products.
The device operates slowly even without any load. I'm interested in understanding what steps have been taken to address this problem. In my opinion, the presence of two GPUs on each laptop might be the main reason for the stutter or lag. I was considering using a single GPU—specifically a Ryzen 5 4600H+GTX1650 with a TUF A15—so we should focus on that. Have you verified if your BIOS is up to date? What operating system are you using? Did you run DDU in Safe Mode to eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) from your laptop before installing the newest driver from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator? Once the latest driver is installed, proceed with installing the corresponding processor driver from AMD's support site.
