Is the Acer Aspire 5 suitable as a budget laptop for software engineering students?
I'm searching for a good but affordable laptop for my first year in college. I don't need a gaming machine—I already have my PC for that. I found an Acer Aspire 5 and was impressed, so I wanted to get some thoughts on it. From what I saw, the specs match what I need and it's actually great. I'm just looking for a device that runs smoothly while I handle many tabs at once.
The specifications appear to indicate you should be fine, but I'm worried about certain details such as whether your RAM is soldered onto the motherboard and the extent of that soldering, your available storage options for future upgrades, and whether other components are fixed and cannot be modified. Outside these points, everything seems acceptable. For clarity, it might help to review the listing link provided.
Take a look at it;

Even though you have concerns about storage and changing components, I’m not excited about it. It meets my needs. 512gb is sufficient for me, and I’m not planning to upgrade the RAM or anything similar. Please share your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
