Initially sorry for all the recent updates about being in a disability situation and having limited funds for PC upgrades. For example, I bought my 3900X on launch day and kept it until 2023 just to save enough money for a 5000 series CPU. Here are the details below: ASUS Crosshair 7 Hero X470 Ryzen 3900X 4x 8GB teamgroup 3733MHz DDR4 RAM, 1000W Seasonic Gold rated PSU 6600XT Sapphire Pulse 1TB, 360mm cooler, Master AIO, 1080p display. Since I got the monitor for $50, my question is whether I should keep my 3900X for a few more years until I can afford something better like an AM5 or upgrade to a 5800X or 5800X3D. The 5800X3D is currently $100 more than the stock 5800X, and I’m not sure if I can justify paying that extra amount for the 3D V-CACHE.

The 3900X is still a really powerful CPU. There's no point to upgrading it. If anything the GPU is holding you back significantly more than the CPU could. Only upgrade when the performance of your PC isn't as good as you want it to be. If you're satisfied with your PC's current performance there's no point to upgrading. You could easily hold on that CPU for another couple years.

You're considering an upgrade, aren't you? Absolutely, the 5800X3D offers significantly better stability in frame rates. However, if you're content with your existing setup and don't intend to upgrade your GPU, it makes sense to keep what you have.

It doesn’t seem logical to use this GPU right now; safer to upgrade to AM5.
