Do you think it's limiting your gaming experience? Do you own a monitor with a high refresh rate? This might not matter much, as you likely won’t notice the change. Just wait for Zen 4—Zen 3 is outdated and not worth upgrading.

What games do you enjoy? And which settings are you using? Unless you're aiming for extremely high frame rates, the difference should be negligible. I wouldn't lower the resolution to 5600X compared to a 3800XT. Edited December 8, 2021 by YoungBlade

Primarily enjoying RPGs, WoW, and a bit of Forza. Right now I'm diving into an Assassin's Creed series. My monitor runs at 144Hz, though I don't expect that level of performance in those games—likely not for long.

GPU is usually limited by your graphics card in most games, so a new CPU might not boost performance much. If you have time, wait before upgrading; there’s always something newer. If you’re pressed for time, consider a 5800x or 5900x upgrade.
