Hello. My Ethernet started getting all over the place, so I checked my Device Manager. Inside there was an unknown device with a yellow warning sign. I don't know what to fix it... when I look at the hardware IDs in the details tab, it says something like ACPI/VEN_AMD. What should I do?

Look for that Hardware ID and check your computer to see if any driver files exist on a manufacturer's website that you haven't already downloaded or run yet.

I checked those computer parts and found a site called Driver ID that listed drivers for an Asus PC. But I never actually bought any hardware from Asus because I don't own that machine right now. Another tool, called DriverPackage, just gave me driver files for Windows without asking if I really need them.

Be careful of driver install spots, they're usually junk. Go back to your motherboard manufacturer's website and check if all the stuff is set up correctly. If it's an Intel card, maybe look at their specific driver or update program.
