Is that thing acting up?
Hello. My Ethernet started getting all over the place, so I checked my Device Manager. Inside there was an unknown device with a yellow warning sign. I don't know what to fix it... when I look at the hardware IDs in the details tab, it says something like ACPI/VEN_AMD. What should I do?
I checked those computer parts and found a site called Driver ID that listed drivers for an Asus PC. But I never actually bought any hardware from Asus because I don't own that machine right now. Another tool, called DriverPackage, just gave me driver files for Windows without asking if I really need them.
Well, I went to a website about making motherboards. From there I looked at systems and drivers, and I downloaded the AMD chip driver. But when I checked System Information or system drivers, it didn't show any name for it. What should I do right now? Also, is this another driver needed because my Ethernet connection just turns on and off?
One of our moderators named @Ralston18 said you should try this next. " You can use PowerShell to find and show device drivers by running a Get cmdlet. For example: Get-WindowsDriver -Online Check out the reference link at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powers...ver2025-ps There are many examples in that link. You can copy them here and paste into PowerShell right after a PS> command. And use search settings to help pick the best results. A late note: Get-PnPDevice might work too."
Is this system still working right? It has an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 with a speed of 3.8 GHz to 5.3 GHz, plugged into the AM5 socket. The motherboard is an MSI B650 Gaming that comes with WiFi 6E and supports DDR5, using the AMD AM5 socket. You also have an MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti VENTUS 2X BLACK with 8G OC memory, which uses 32GB of RAM on DDR5. Have you downloaded the latest Realtek Ethernet drivers? The drivers are available at this link: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B650-GAM...ort#driver. I released version 10.73.815.2024 back last month, which is a new driver for the LAN area on the board. You will notice something strange here: there are both AMD and Realtek BT drivers on this unusual board.
