Hello, your current i5 4th Gen is decent for streaming, but a Ryzen 4 could offer better performance. You might find a good deal around Cyber Monday or Black Friday. Consider timing your upgrade for those sales if you're interested in a Ryzen model.

Ryzen 3000 offers solid performance, so upgrading is an option. For a longer wait, consider using GPU encoding. If you have an Nvidia card, adjust the encoder in OBS to Nvenc for better results.

Ryzen 4000 should offer USB4 compatibility and better performance. It probably won’t generate as much excitement as the previous model, but that’s uncertain. A potential drawback is that it will likely be the final chip to use AM4, meaning once you purchase it, upgrading the CPU won’t be possible. You’ll eventually reach a point where you need to replace the board, so you won’t always have access to the newest components. It’s best to purchase what suits your current needs, as future upgrades may become necessary even after waiting.
