Is red dead 2 any good?
Is red dead 2 any good?
The performance issues have been resolved, although it's still difficult to run. I don't have any complaints about it functioning after the initial launch problems. The story is excellent—I didn't bother to check online. It took me around 45 hours to complete the main story, and now I'm in the epilogue (you get two stories in one basically). It looks great, though sometimes the cloth physics can be a bit problematic, which is just a minor issue. I plan to try it online in the next few days—curious to see what they've developed.
kept crashing for me at first, but after a couple good days with rockstar support I realized the game dislikes overlays, so I turned off rivatuner and other overlays—now it runs smoothly. performance improves when you adjust settings using hardware unboxed's optimized options. i still suggest saving often; long missions are stressful since crashes remain possible.
Which version did you purchase? The $37.99 Epic Games edition or the $47.99 Steam release?
I purchased it on the release day and actually only played a short time. They really lost me with the long tutorial. I don’t have much time to play and having to walk around and read subtitles for hours really affects me.
So perosnally I'm still having issues with the game. I completed the story and my save-game got corrupted which super sucks. However, it seems like for most people the game is fixed. But overall, it's a fantastic game. The story is really really good, the missions are really really good. It's amazing overall. Especially if you can run it on high settings. I personally bought a PS4 specifically for RDR2 when it came out and I dumped probably 200 hours into my first playthrough. It has a ton of replayability. The one thing I'd suggest, is take your time. Explore. Leave no stone unturned. The game is packed with secrets and easter eggs, its fantastic.
