Is Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2019 giving you laggy feeling when using it with a battery?
I bought a Razer Blade 15 Advanced on eBay about two months ago and now I have this problem. It happens every time the laptop is unplugged, right around every 15 or 20 seconds. This glitch has happened since the day I got it. If you are scrolling on your computer or watching YouTube, or doing anything else, you might see a little stutter. I checked all my power settings and also looked at Nvidia Control Panel and Intel Graphics Command Center, changing everything that sounded like it could help me (maybe I missed some things, but I don't know what else to try). Even so, the stutter is still there. This does not happen when the laptop is plugged in into a wall outlet; then everything works perfectly with no stutters or lag. I tried other people's fixes online and none of them worked, which is why I am starting my own thread because it might be something very specific to this one computer. One thing I read about was that someone had a HP Spectre problem where the screen would stutter, but when they checked their battery, it wasn't bad. Now does anyone know a good place to buy real parts if you need them? Any help is welcome here.
using simpler, everyday language:
Can you tell me which steps you've already taken so we don't waste time fixing problems that were solved before? My very first question would be to ask if you tried changing your Windows Power Settings to High Performance or to Low Power.
Hi thanks so much for replying! For Windows Power Plan: I've turned wireless adapter settings to maximum performance on battery. I changed Intel Graphics Power Plan to maximum performance on battery too. I set PCI Express Link state power management to Off on battery, Processor performance core parking min cores to 100% on battery, Minimum processor state to 10%, and Maximum processor state to 100%. For Multimedia settings, I picked either Performance Bias or Optimise Video Quality depending what you want. None of those were changed for Battery mode.
For Nvidia control panel: I set Image Settings to "Use Advanced 3D Image Settings." In Manage 3D Settings, I chose Preferred Graphics Processor as High-Performance Nvidia Processor. Then in Configure Surround and PhysX, I picked NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design (I don't know what PhysX is but I tried it anyway).
In Intel Graphics Command Center: I set the Power Plan to Maximum Performance, turned Display Power Saving Technology off, and disabled Panel Self-Refresh (all for Battery mode). That's everything I changed in Intel. If you need anything else, please let me know. I've updated drivers for both Intel and Nvidia too, along with Windows Updates which has all the optional stuff there. Hope this helps!
