Is purchasing a traditional computer with a physical screen truly necessary?
I strongly enjoy playing video games. I previously had a desktop computer assembled with secondhand components, which I subsequently sold; currently, my main computing device is a Lenovo T440p (featuring 16 gigabytes of RAM, an i7-4800MQ processor, and a GT 730 graphics card). I typically engage in competitive gaming titles such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and I’m interested in exploring more graphically demanding games. Following my sale of the previous computer, I am eager to construct a new system utilizing updated components, with the total cost estimated at approximately 910 euros. My question is: Do I genuinely require a new personal computer?
PS: While my ThinkPad can handle gaming at 720p resolution, it's satisfactory.
High-end PC gaming necessitates a reasonably capable computer. Portable laptops can handle some games to a certain extent, however, graphically intensive titles will necessitate a laptop specifically designed for gaming purposes. Desktops aren’t limited by physical space like laptops are, and they also don't suffer from overheating issues. However, the latest consoles being released possess considerable processing power.
