Personally, the game often crashes too frequently to be considered fully playable. The servers are also very busy during the day. Overall, it’s just a poor experience. When you finally manage to join a match, it can feel quite enjoyable, though the weapon balance is heavily skewed by OP hitscan weapons from supply drops.

I enjoy this style, I use PUBG mobile on my laptop, and I'm curious about its future. Will it remain popular or fade away in about six months?

I love FPS titles, yet this title is riddled with issues, even though it's been stable for quite some time—like it's still in development.

The audience will certainly remain strong. I don’t think this match will fade away in the coming years. There are still plenty of fans enjoying it.

Performance has improved noticeably over the past weeks. I've observed a noticeable change compared to when it was first released by EA. I recommend trying Ring of Elysium—it's free to play and developed by the same company. Ring of Elysium is essentially the free-to-play counterpart.

I played the game right away and was really excited about it. I enjoyed watching the early issues but they didn’t get better and at times made it hard to play. The graphics aren’t great, but that wasn’t the main reason I played. I believe other titles like Battleroyale, Fortnite, or BF have been developed with more care. I don’t respect the developers given how much time they spent fixing the game and haven’t done enough. Even though it’s still available, I think it’s not worth the investment. If you’re interested, it might be worth it for you personally.

I recommended you to buy it. Battle Royale wise, PUBG is the game that do it right. I owned CoD BO4, BF V ( actually whole BF series), Escape from Tarkov , and some other FPS games. Which game I played the most ? it's PUBG, already spent 2000 hours on the game and still counting. COD BO4 : Play for 2 weeks, bored of it. ( PUBG is still better after all, despire inferior graphic) BFV: Already bored of it. But I still wait for Firestorm. To the people who said PUBG is buggy, I never had a single crash on PUBG for 1 WHOLE year. LOL I can't say the same for COD BO4, just read how ppl complain about the crash and bug on Reddit and official forum. There is a reason PUBG is still top of Steamchart and one of the most viewed on Twitch. Try it.
