Is Patriot memory a suitable option?
Hi, I'm considering purchasing that kit (Patriot Viper Elite 5 64GB (2x32GB) 6400 MHz CL32 DDR5). Is it a good choice? The remaining components are: Intel core ultra 7 265K, Asus Tuf Gaming B860 Plus with Wi-Fi, and PNY RTX 4070Ti Super XLR8 Epic X. I’d like to go with this specific model because it offers a reasonable price and fast data transfer with low latency (32), but it’s my first time buying Patriot memory.
As long as the seller offers a solid return policy, it should be a reasonable purchase. While searching for memory during my build, I considered Patriot, but their kits appeared to have more quality control problems compared to other brands. The platform itself is likely able to handle those speeds without any issues. You might achieve faster speeds with reduced latency by choosing lower capacities, such as 48GB instead of 64GB.
The list includes some patriotic RAMs compatible with the mobile device.
QVL becomes outdated quickly after publication, with fresh SKUs arriving for memory releases. I usually search for comparable timings or similar sets. Compatibility with DDR5 is crucial versus DDR4, and AMD tends to be more selective than Intel, though this varies.
