Hello, thank you for your question. If you're planning to overclock your GPU, it's important to consider whether it might affect your system stability. Your current clock is set to 985 MHz, which is a high frequency. Be cautious with overclocking to avoid damaging your PC.

This is the standard configuration most users employ.
Reference speeds include:
Core Clock: 975 MHz / Memory Clock: 1400/5600MHz
They achieved:
Core Clock: 1150 MHz / Memory Clock: 1500/6000 MHz
YMMV

MSI Afterburner ranks among the top overclocking tools. Assuming overvolting can shorten your GPU's lifespan might be true, but it's generally manageable. Pushing up to +100 mV should work well as long as you maintain low temperatures. If you skip overvolting entirely, your GPU is simply unlocking its full capacity without any harm. Just remember to read carefully before proceeding.

I think that's correct, I also have an MSI GTX 960 Twn frozer, I added the core clock settings of +100 and +275 on memclock without any problems, and the maximum temperature during heavy use stays at 66°C.
