I recently assembled my PC with a Ryzen 5 1600x and overclocked it to 3850mhz at 1.27v. I’ve noticed that many users with similar settings have been using 1.35v on overage. Is this approach safe?

I’ve run Prime95 for about 20 minutes, and my CPU has stayed around 65°C. I understand you recommend running Prime95 for a few hours, but I haven’t reached that yet. I’ll try it soon.

PC specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x
Motherboard: Gigabyte ax370 gaming K5
CPU cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3
Power supply: Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 11 750W

I just built my PC with a Ryzen 5 1600x and overclocked it to 3850mhz at 1.27v. I've noticed others using 1.35v for overage—am I doing that safely? I ran Prime 95 for about 20 minutes and the CPU stayed around 65°C. I usually run Prime 95 for a few hours, but I haven't reached that yet. I'll try it soon. My specs are: CPU Ryzen 5 1600x, motherboard Gigabyte ax370 gaming K5, cooler Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3, PSU Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 11 750w. That's a solid setup. Stability will be important.
