I currently run a UPS (1200VA) and previously used a gaming PC with a second-gen i7, 1060 6GB RAM, 700W power supply rated for 80+ and a gaming monitor. It would typically stay on for about ten minutes before shutting down. About a year ago I replaced it with a new system but kept the GPU, and it functioned perfectly. Recently I upgraded to a 3070 Ti and assumed everything would be fine. Yesterday my building experienced a brief power drop lasting just two seconds, causing the system to turn off instantly. After turning off the power strip (which powers the UPS) while the PC was idle, nothing happened. When I moved the mouse, the issue reoccurred. What caused this? My monitor draws 79W and I have an 850W Platinum quiet PSU.

It seems the device has been functioning well for nearly two years, but when you connect it directly to the wall, it powers down instantly even though you move your cursor.
