Hello everyone.
I recently assembled a PC using the following components:
Asus ROG STRIX z270h
i5 7600k with Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo
gtx 1070 EVGA SC
And 8gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX ram at 3200mhz.
I performed a small overclock of 4.5 ghz on the CPU and chose to stress-test it. While running stressing with prime95 and cpu-z together, my temperatures rose significantly after just a few minutes;
Core 0: 78
Core 1: 74
Core 2: 78
Core 3: 88
Core 3 is causing concern as it fluctuated between 74-88 and kept hitting 88, which is not safe. Should I lower my overclock settings?
Thanks in advance.

It's impressive, but it shouldn't be putting too much strain on your CPU. I'd look into your thermal paste—there might be an issue with contact quality. The 212 model isn't the absolute best, but keeping the temperature difference under 10 degrees per core would help confirm if the paste is adequate.

That's a bit high, but it shouldn't stress your CPU too much... I'd look into your thermal paste. It's possible the contact isn't optimal there... I really like the 212, though it's not the absolute best cooler... Still, having 10 degrees more in single cores makes me think the paste might be lacking...
