Thanks! I'll make sure to try when I get home.

Check the CPU activity during gaming. If it reaches maximum usage, it’s probably a bottleneck.

It's not a slowdown, it's a CPU-heavy game. CS:GO is well-known for being demanding on the processor.

Check if it's a special configuration or if your display settings differ.

I'm not sure, but it seems you're asking about how these terms relate to performance. CPU bound means the game's speed is limited by how fast the CPU can process tasks, so it can't run at full potential. Bottleneck refers to a situation where the CPU is working at its maximum capacity and can't handle more tasks. Essentially, both describe limits on performance.

CS:GO benefits more from a stronger CPU than a powerful GPU. You can significantly boost performance using an i7 8700K with a GTX 1660 Super instead of a weaker setup like an i3 10100F and RTX 2060.

It's inaccurate to label it a bottleneck because, regardless of actions taken, the game remains constrained by CPU limits. The issue isn't hardware imbalance but rather the game or task being heavily CPU-dependent.

It wasn't what I was discussing, but you can observe how much the CPU limits the game.

I remain firm on my claim. If your CPU is capped at 100%, you're limited. A bottleneck doesn't always indicate an uneven setup—it simply means you've reached the performance ceiling of a single component.
