Is my overclock good? 6700k
I previously overclocked, but I’m uncertain about the temperatures on this chip. There’s an unusual behavior I’m experiencing—this might be a problem or not.
Currently, I’m using a 6700k @ 4.5ghz @ 1.295v in BIOS.
Idle temperatures per core are:
core 1: 24°C
core 2: 27°C (this core is consistently 2-5°C hotter)
core 3: 22°C
core 4: 25°C
Under load, it never exceeds 65°C, and the temperature differences between cores seem normal.
I’ve tried re-seating the cooler and reapplying thermal paste, but nothing changed.
In short, I’m checking if my temperatures are within acceptable ranges and if the core differences are typical.
It seems everything appears perfectly fine, even with just one core functioning at 100%.
