Is my Motherboard Broken???
I cleaned my PC every three days, used a datavac, and thought about CPU damage during cleaning. My BIOS keeps resetting and two RAM slots are dead. I suspect the problem is with the motherboard since CPUs rarely cause RAM slot failures or BIOS resets. The pins looked fine, and the CPU itself appears clean. It functions properly on my replacement board, which I ordered from Taiwan with a four-week wait. My setup includes: Motherboard – Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP-rev-1x CPU – Intel Core i7-4790 RAM – 32GB DDR3 1600MHz (16GB now) – all RAM slots tested fine. Recently, my system felt slow with occasional speed drops, so the motherboard might be the issue.
You could have damaged a pin in the motherboard slot, which are quite delicate and often cause disabled memory lanes.
I checked that it was working properly before the PC slowed down, and after taking out the two sticks, the performance has returned to normal.
Update... I am waiting on my new board and trying to play far cry 5 it seems sluggish and goes from 40s to 120 fps on 1080p 75hz i7 4790 GTX 1070 8gb 16 GB ram and running off Samsung 850 Evo Settings trued max it says I have good beam could my board that is bad triggering the issue.
