I'm not super sure on this one. It might take me ten hours or maybe it won't happen ever. That thing feels pretty strange though, but I guess I'll try it anyway and make sure the game isn't too hard to play. Also, the built-in graphics can't be too fancy for my needs.
Does this just happen when playing games? I thought it happened all the time no matter what you were doing. Sorry to miss that part, but it makes sense that the graphics card is involved. Even if this happens on the integrated GPU, we would know it's not about the dedicated graphics card.
When your screen turns completely dark and stays off for a second, does it sound like "no signal"? Also, have you checked the monitor's settings to make sure there isn't an "Ecco" option or a "sleep" button set in a strange way that makes things look weird?
Every time I'm playing on my PC, I never get a chance to test the other stuff because I've been gaming so much lately. It would be really hard to check anything else since I'd have to just sit at my desk for hours hoping something breaks again. Last time this happened today was right during an action game that barely uses my graphics card because it's not demanding at all at all. I checked the settings and turned off FreeSync so maybe that was the problem, no power saving options or anything like that. Next time I'll be really careful to watch out carefully if it breaks again but even though my second monitor is still on plugged into my GPU, that stays up there.
See which plugs in your room are sharing power lines with things like AC units, fridges, or heavy motors. If that happens, you could get no signal at all right away when those big devices turn on.
