Is my laptop's lid sticking out from one side because of the hinges?
Hey everyone, I have a small bend on one edge of my laptop. It won't close all the way to the left side, but the other side works fine. Could this cause problems later? Welcome to the forums! Please try spinning your laptop so we can see the gap where the lid meets the base when it's closed. If the two parts don't line up perfectly, then something is wrong with the hinge. To me, it really looks like this metal part of the lid got bent or dinged from a drop, which caused that extra lift and made them not sit flush against each other.
