Searching for a 3060 12GB GPU but only the Gaming OC LHR rev2 12G was in stock locally made me confident. After installing it via DDU, performance actually dropped compared to before. Could be a bottleneck, driver issue, or BIOS update? It might explain why it was always the sole available model. All games ran under 40fps even during crashes, which hasn’t happened before. Never reached 100% during gaming. Attached files. 5 3600/ B450 Elite V2 /AG-850. How can I return it? Just bought yesterday Sad((( Thanks)

Do you want to view the GPU performance during gameplay? I can show you the shots taken while the game is running.

I played Elden Ring because it’s the version with the poorest performance versus my 1650. At low settings I’m seeing a 50°C temperature and the fans aren’t running at all, resulting in 18-12 fps.

If the store can't repair your 3060, consider returning it for a refund. Based on the benchmark site you linked, a 3060 should outperform a 1650, at least according to that comparison. Alternatively, you might try an older driver version. Keep in mind the CPU mentioned in the link could have limited performance—unless it's your specific model, then the issue might be elsewhere.

Ye maybe the reason why 1650 was better also in editing was because there was no bottleneck so everything went smooth. https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/127165755? GPU looks fine but the cpu test was 3fps. Although it shouldn't on paper or at least just a small performance lost but it looks like cpu bottleneck. OR i need to reapply thermal paste/ biosupdate/ cmos reset/ reinstall windows which I might try for the sake of science but the later reinstalling windows I will not. For the drivers I switched a couple of times old/latest (except the feb28 version) reseated card/changed cable

Average CPU temperature is around 96°C, likely due to thermal throttling. Updating the thermal paste seems like a solid first step. I think Ryzen 5600 or 5800X work well with a 3060 12GB. A Ryzen 3600 could also fit. Spending on an AM4 CPU might not be worth it since its performance is limited. Also, check if the GPU is faulty and see if the store offers returns or exchanges.

FPS is now working properly. For better tracking, use 3dbenchmark to identify the problematic component. I applied thermal paste first and it fixed everything smoothly! 🙌 Thanks for your patience. I was really anxious about this build in 2021, but it turned out to be a great experience. Now I’m thrilled with this upgrade. Your help means a lot!
