Here is what happened in the past week. Sometimes, even when I am not using special programs, the computer restarts on its own while the power button stays lit. It was working really well before this started, and it has never been overclocked. We did update the drivers right after the problems began, but no one else seems to be having the same issues online. Also, when I try to change my screen settings, a message pops up saying "No product key for Windows can be found." Should I start flashing the BIOS?

Which PSU do you have? Did the 4090 cause a lot of big power humps?

Check Reliability History or Monitor to see if any errors, warnings, or messages are showing up during restarts. Both tools might catch something happening right when the computer turns back on.

I realized I missed a key piece of information—I'm currently using an EVGA SUPERNOVA 1600P.

Right now, it's too short-lived to be useful.

Okay - it is really turning off now. The person got that wrong. That little light on the button never goes out.

If the chipset driver came in with the new updates but didn't have the newest BIOS, I would tell you to upgrade that BIOS first.

I tried to run my NVIDIA graphics card software, but I didn't provide any extra details about it.

Start in Safe Mode, then run a tool called Display Driver Uninstaller from the website to take out the wrong graphics drivers. Once those are gone, install the correct driver again and check if the problem is still there.
