Hey there! I'm facing some issues with my new setup. I just bought an RTX 2070 and was planning on using it for Cyberpunk and other tough games. I put in a lot of prep work and thought my existing Ryzen 2600 would suffice until I could afford a new one. I play quite a bit of Battlefield V, RDR2, and other demanding titles. Frames are dropping significantly compared to others even with similar GPUs and CPUs. The Ryzen was once overclocked to 4.1 but is now stock since I thought the overclock was the problem. I'm seeing microstutters and frame rates that fluctuate wildly between the low 60s and high 90s on ultra settings. I expect smooth 100+ fps gameplay, but it's not happening. My GPU usage is around 50% at max in Battlefield V, while the CPU stays between 50% and 80%. Performance temps are also normal—CPU never exceeds 50% and GPU stays under 70%. I’m pretty comfortable with the tech stuff and can tweak BIOS settings. Anyone have any ideas or solutions? Thanks!

You checked the previous video driver and then added the newest update from Nvidia's site for your 2070 Super.

Thank you for your feedback. It seems the situation remains unchanged despite adjustments. Even at low settings, I rarely exceed 110 FPS, which is below the expected performance for high or ultra settings. GPU and CPU usage appear consistent.

The GPU activity is greater on the BFV home screen compared to during gameplay, isn't it? This seems unusual.

It looks like you're checking if the FPS is correctly set in the menu. Have you looked at both DX11 and DX12 settings? Did you turn on XMP in the BIOS to let your RAM run at 3000MHz? What resolution are you using? You might want to turn off HPET, as it can improve performance for some users, though it doesn't work for everyone.

I'm preparing additional tests with DX11 and DX12. I think I'm using D.O.C.P 5 in my BIOS, which means my RAM is at 3000MHz. I'm playing at 1080p since I prefer higher frame rates on bigger screens. Here are some quick results from recent tests: DOOM 2016 - reached 200fps max, occasional stutters. Witcher 3 - hit 100-115fps max (including hair effects), 98% GPU usage, 27% CPU, minor stutters. Far Cry 4 - 100-130fps maxed, 60% GPU, 30% CPU, switching between ultra and low caused no major differences, minimal stutters. COD Advanced Warfare (still in the title but looks good) - 180-200fps maxed, 97% GPU usage, 30% CPU. RDR2 - optimized settings gave 80-110fps, 95% GPU usage, 60% CPU. If this setup doesn't work, I'll check adjusting some HPET settings. Appreciate the advice, any further suggestions?

I've addressed the overall frame rate problem. I'm using DX12 with future frame rendering enabled. My GPU is operating between 85% to 95%, and I'm achieving 90-150 FPS on maximum settings. Despite this, stutters persist, particularly when entering new scenes. I'm planning to run at 150 FPS and anticipate significant stuttering during scene loading. Initially, I assumed the issue was on the CPU, but it's actually occurring at around 70% load.

Never experienced this before in BF5. Is it installed on an SSD? If not, that might also be the reason.

I'll attempt this next. I should leave some room on one of them. Cheers! I'll return with results soon.

Ensure you keep a decent gap in free space on SSDs, around 10-15%, to avoid performance issues.
