Hi there,
I'm not very familiar with OC or adding liquid cooling and RGB components like Barbies... to my PC. 😊
It's been around 4 years, maybe longer for my system. I used the default one-click OC settings for 3.7, 3.9, and 4.1. Now I've been using 4.1 consistently—it runs much better. But I'm a bit concerned about my CPU. It's been over 4 to 5 years...
And then these benchmarks... ugh!
-- I don't understand why they can't just provide a simple summary like: YOUR PC IS FINE/OK/POOR. Please check the numbers so I can decide whether to spend money or not... I really want to make a smart purchase!
I'm going through this stage... the one where you've been single for years and saved up some cash you want to invest in something nice.
But I don't want it to be wasteful.
Your help is really appreciated, thank you.

Hi there,
I'm not very familiar with OC or adding things like liquid cooling or RGB to my PC, especially for models like Barbies.
It's been around 4 years, maybe longer, and I've been using the default one-click OC settings for 3.7, 3.9, and now 4.1. It feels smoother now.
But I'm a bit concerned—my CPU has been running for over 4 to 5 years.
I also found those benchmarks really frustrating!
-- I don't understand why they can't just give us a simple summary like: YOUR PC IS OKAY/GOOD/DEGRADED, etc. Please check the numbers and let me know... so I can decide whether to spend money or not!
I'm going through this phase...

Hi there,
I’m not very familiar with OC or customizing components like adding liquid cooling or RGB lights on things such as Barbies...
It’s been around four years, maybe more, for my PC. I use the default one-click OC to versions 3.7, 3.9, and 4.1. Recently, I’ve been using 4.1 all the time—it runs much better. But I’m a bit concerned about my CPU. It’s been over four or five years...
And then these benchmarks... they’re really not helpful!
I don’t understand why they can’t just give us a simple summary like: YOUR PC IS FINE/OK/POOR. Please check the numbers so I can decide whether to spend money or not. Thanks!
I’m going through this phase—where you’ve been single for many years and saved up some money you want to invest in something nice.
But I don’t want it to be an unnecessary expense.
Your help means a lot.

It seems everything is working well. The biggest upgrade I could make right now would be replacing the GPU with something newer than the GTX 770 or installing an SSD. Also, have you cleaned the PC recently to help it stay cool? One thing to keep in mind is that most watercoolers start to fail after five years (the pump stops working), so that’s something to watch for.

I did. My setup includes an EVGA GTX 970 SC with 4GB of normal OC. I play mostly CS:GO occasionally, mainly for graphics and video rendering. I also added a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, but about 90% remains free. I’m considering purchasing another 120GB just for the operating system and reserving 500GB for files (documents, rendering location). The benchmarks are at www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/2869708. Would there be any impact if I upgraded to 2400hz graphics or added 16GB of RAM? Currently, my ADATA 16GB 1600 DDR3L has a transfer rate of around 20.9 GB/s—maybe it’s not as fast as expected?

You’ll see no difference between the faster and slower RAM.

Jaslion shared his setup details and asked about potential changes. He mentioned using an EVGA GTX 970 SC with 4GB RAM, mostly for graphics and video tasks. He also added a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB drive, which is mostly unused. He plans to upgrade to another 120GB for the operating system and use 500GB for files. He referenced a benchmark from www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/2869708. He wondered if adding more RAM or a faster processor would make a noticeable difference, noting his current ADATA 16GB RAM gives a transfer rate of about 20.9 GB/s. He concluded that the difference would be minimal and suggested focusing on upgrading the case instead.
