Is my computer stuck on a question about the boot loop after I took out the GPU?
Hi everyone, I took my GTX 980ti out of my old computer to put it on a newer one. Now when I turn on the old machine, the fan spins up, the power light comes on, but nothing shows up and everything shuts down fast. It tries to boot again and keeps going in a loop. The CPU has built-in graphics. I tried another card too and nothing fixed it. I don't want to use my 980ti because I already did cable routing for my new computer. What could this be and what can I do? I just removed a graphic card, but the old thing worked great for ten years. Thanks so much! SPECS: i5-4460, Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI with 16 GB DDR3 HyperX Fury RAM
Here are your computer parts: CPU is Intel i5 4460. Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI. RAM has 16 GB HyperX Fury sticks. I have a coolers attached to my i5 4460. Power supply needs extra attention because it could be old or not working well. Try putting one stick of RAM in each slot and see if that helps. Maybe the GPU is stuck? Check it carefully for any warping. Also, tell me what version of the BIOS your motherboard has right now.
