CmdrJeffSinclair responds to the suggestion by stating that games don't seem to gain much from a 4.3GHz OC. He decided to switch to 4GHz Auto-OC via BIOS and reset the voltage settings back to defaults. He believes the 4GHz OC is included with the BIOS and plans to conduct some tests. He mentions that the voltage should be around 1.18v for Vcore, which he finds much more efficient for thermal management, potentially improving performance during long tests like an 80C benchmark. He reassures the user that this adjustment should help with thermal efficiency and keep the CPU cooler.
Thor220 shared some thoughts on how people share and accept information, noting that it often comes from unreliable sources. He compared it to consuming news from unverified channels and highlighted the lack of research among many individuals. He also mentioned the role of convenience in limiting critical thinking and warned about the dangers of confirmation bias. The conversation continued with reflections on technology use and generational differences in understanding digital tools.
It seems unlikely someone under 13 would visit, as my reference to a "kid" wasn't meant for those here.
I see that you tested in AIDA x64 but I also need the time you tested for. Typically 2 hours should be enough time to determine your max temp. Also make sure the temperature value you give me is the Max Temperature and not the average.
Right now just looking at the temp you gave me, it's too high. If you didn't test for a longer period of time, that value could easily exceed dangerous temperatures. Do the test I instruction above first and then we will come to a conclusion.
