is my 4090 broken?
Here are the connections you mentioned. I hope they provide helpful details for your situation.
I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with the same problem to a support person. My specs match everything exactly—same brand MMO, RAM, GPU, CPU. I've already sent the first card for replacement, but they gave me a different one and it's still not working. I'm confused and wondering what could be wrong if I put my EVGA 2080 Ti in it.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem. It's quite annoying, and from what I've found, many other 4090 users encounter the same issue: https://www.overclock.net/threads/massiv...81/page-65. If you haven't already, consider trying some of the troubleshooting steps I've previously used, as these have helped others. However, it seems this EventViewer error usually indicates a problem with the GPU and could point to various potential issues. If you manage to find a solution, feel free to share it with me.
Thanks for your patience. I've included the files as requested. Your effort in reviewing this is greatly valued. 060523-11109-01.dmp 061123-13375-01.dmp
The issue appears to be linked to a GPU driver, though the crash seems more software-driven. The error message indicates a semaphore was released beyond its limit. Since you've already attempted DDU, would you like me to update the BIOS? Keep a BIOS on a USB stick just in case the update causes a crash.
I experienced the same problem with my PC, involving drivers from 528.49 to 531.79. After reaching 531.79 the issue ceased on my system, though the nvlddmkm error and higher latency remain noted as ongoing concerns in the driver updates. Over the past few months, several users reported crashes, CTD issues, etc., with nvlddmkm errors appearing in the Event Viewer. I suspect your situation is likely due to a driver problem.
The BIOS on the motherboard, not the VBIOS, controls the system.
